short for melissa - which means “honeybee” in greek.

i believe names mean more than just what people call you. there’s a purpose and identity attached to your name.

a past mentor in my life connected the greek meaning of my name to why words mean so much to me, and it’s been a part of me ever since.

there’s a story in the bible where honey is symbolic for promise, prosperity and abundance.

and that’s what i believe this blog is. me stepping out in my promise, believing for prosperity and abundance - through words, encouragement, and community.
